North Korean Ballistic Missile Launch

Australia condemns North Korea's most recent ballistic missile launch. North Korea is again acting in total disregard of regional and global security. Today's launch is another clear breach of its international obligations.

North Korea's long term interest would be best served by it ceasing its nuclear and missiles programs and engaging positively with the international community.

Australia continues to work closely with its friends and partners in the region to address the threats posed by North Korea. We strongly support UN Security Council Sanctions and are working to expand our own autonomous measures.
