Retirement of Senator Dodson

No retirement from the Senate will be felt more deeply than Senator Patrick Dodson's.

His leadership has taught grace, humility, wisdom and courage.

I will miss his counsel, his resolve, his humour.

But I look forward to many more years of friendship.

On behalf of all Labor senators, I thank Senator Dodson for a lifetime of service to purpose greater than any of us, and hope this is repaid in a long, healthy and joyous retirement.
