Australia and Niue are advancing our shared priorities including acting on climate change, enhancing economic resilience, and investing in high-quality, sustainable infrastructure.
In 2024 Niue will mark its 50th year of self-governance, and we will continue to work closely together to advance our common interests in a peaceful, stable and prosperous region.
Australia is one of two countries with permanent representation in Alofi, a sign of our commitment to Niue and the Pacific family.
Ms Stuart is an experienced public servant, who was most recently Assistant Director, Green Economy Implementation Section, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
She has previously served overseas in Timor-Leste.
I thank former High Commissioner Louise Ellerton and Acting High Commissioner William Powell for their contributions to advancing Australia's interests in Niue.
