The National Foundation for Australia-China Relations 2021-2022 competitive grants round is now open, closing on 12 March.

The Foundation is an important demonstration of the Government’s commitment to a constructive relationship with China based on mutual respect. The Foundation is committed to supporting connections and practical cooperation with China and engaging Australia’s diverse community as part of this endeavour.

This second grant round will support projects that develop, promote and strengthen understanding and engagement between Australia and China. A particular focus will be supporting major events and activities in 2022, in the event borders open.

In the Foundation’s inaugural grant round, it awarded over $4 million to more than 20 successful projects from around Australia, with activities both here and across greater China. The grants support a range of initiatives including building business capability and resilience, strengthening engagement in the health and ageing sectors, cultural and scientific exchanges, and providing a digital platform to support Chinese speaking international students’ wellbeing.
