The Australian Government will invest up to $30 million into building a new generation of global leaders with strong links to Australia through the latest round of Australia Awards Fellowships.

Applications for round 15 of the Australia Awards Fellowship program are now open, with funding of up to $35,000 per Fellow available to Australian organisations to host current and emerging leaders from developing countries for short-term study and professional development activities in Australia. Fellowship activities are aimed at providing high-quality training, exchange of skills and knowledge, and opportunities to enhance networks on issues of shared interest.

The Australia Awards program, together with the New Colombo Plan, is part of the Australian Government’s commitment to building stronger people-to-people links in the region through education and institutional connections.

Australian organisations seeking to expand their links with leaders from developing countries are encouraged to apply. Fellowships in this round will focus on priority areas such as infrastructure, trade facilitation, education, health, agriculture and women's economic empowerment. This round will also have a special focus on culture and sport.

Applications close on 10 September. For more information and to apply visit: http://aid.dfat.gov.au/australia-awards/pages/fellowships.aspx
