Attack on U.S. Embassy in Turkey

Foreign Minister Bob Carr today said Australia joined with the international community in condemning the February 1 suicide bomb attack at the US Embassy in Ankara, which killed a security guard and left at least three others injured.
Foreign Minister Bob Carr said the attack was a reminder of the ongoing menace posed by terrorism.
"On behalf of the Australian people I offer condolences to the friends and families of those killed or injured in this attack," Senator Carr said.
"The Turkish Government has our full support in seeking to bring the perpetrators to account."
