Australian civilian injured in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan

An Australian civilian was injured yesterday in an apparent suicide attack in Uruzgan Province.
His condition is serious but stable. He is currently receiving medical treatment in Kandahar.
His next of kin have been advised and are receiving support from the Australian Government.
The civilian is an AusAID adviser deployed through the Australian Civilian Corps. He was working in Uruzgan with local communities on development activities.
No other Australians were injured in the attack.
